The Hong Kong Game Industry Association was founded in July 2004 by Mr. Sze Yan Ngai and Mr. Raymond
Noeh. Mr. Sze is the awardee of the 1st Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Industry Person of the Year
Election and
Mr. Noeh was the founder of the Institute of Digital Media Technology (one of the biggest animation
schools in China). Dr. Anthony Neoh QC, SC, JP was invited to be the founding chairman of the
Association,
Mr. Noeh is also the founder of Global Digital Creations Holdings Limited (8271.HK), the member of
the board of director of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Chief Adviser of the China
Securities Regulatory Commission.
The Secretary-general is Mr. Vincent Yeung, the first Metaverse artist in Hong Kong. The advisory
group of the Association includes the following members:
Since its establishment, the Association has been supported by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. The Association invited to attend and give opinions in the Policy Address Consultation and the Budget Public Consultation to the HKSAR Government regarding the latest developments of the game industry every year.
At the same time, the Association has also received funding support from CreateHK of the HKSAR Government for many years to help Hong Kong digital game industry develop talent training, technology exchange and overseas business development. Projects include:
The Association is enthusiastic to public service and is actively involved in various charitable
activities, such as "Hong Kong Game Industry Disaster Relief Campaign",
which involved over 50 game companies (include International game companies), companies list are as

Sony and Bandai from Japan, EA from USA, ubisoft from Europe, NCTW from Taiwan, Gameone, Gamania
Digital Entertainment, Soft-World International Corporation etc.
The "Sichuan Earthquake Charity Game Show" was held at Harbour City, and was supported by many
artists, such as Miriam Yeung, Janice Man etc. On that day, over 10,000 playersparticipated
in the event, raising millions of Hong Kong dollars for the post-quake reconstruction project in
Sichuan.

In the near future, the game industry will explore into a new field and era – METAVERSE. The new Board of Directors of the Association was elected and will work even harder for the game industry in Hong Kong and the heritage of Chinese game culture.
